Contractors All Risks:

Contractors’ All Risks (C.A.R) :
The Basic Concept of C.A.R Policy is to offer Comprehensive Protection against Sudden and Unforeseen Loss or Damage to Civil Engineering Works such as Residential and Office Buildings, Airports, Bridges, Dams, Tunnels, Canals, Stadiums, Theaters…etc.. in respect of:
• Contract Works including Preparatory Works & Temporary Structures
• Construction Plant & Equipment
• Construction Machinery
• Legal Liability arising from Property Damage or Bodily Injury suffered by Third parties and occurring in connection with the Contract Works Normally the Insurers are Liable for Loss or Damage due to the following causes:
• Fire, Explosion
• Theft, Burglary
• Flood, Inundation, Windstorm,
• Earthquake, Landslide and Volcanism
• Removal of debris from the site in the event of a loss Indemnifiable under the policy
The Coverage can be extended to include:
• Strike, Riot & Civil Commotion
• Maintenance Period after Execution of Works
• Existing Property if the contract an extension of an Existing Project
• Inland transit
• Property in off-site storage
• Designer’s Risk


Machinery Breakdown:

Machinery Breakdown & Loss of Profit following Machinery Breakdown:
Machinery insurance covers sudden and unforeseen physical damage that limits the operability of the insured item and therefore necessitates its repair or replacement.
Machinery insurance claims mostly arise from one of the following causes:
• Faulty design, calculation, plan, specification, manufacture or workmanship and defects in casting and material
• Operating error, lack of skill, negligence, malicious acts, faulty maintenance
• Tearing apart due to centrifugal forces
• Short circuit and other electrical causes
• Shortage of water in steam generators
• Physical explosion
• Windstorm, frost, ice motion

Electronic Equipment Insurance:

Electronic equipment insurance is essentially an accident insurance on an all-risks basis and therefore covers losses which arise suddenly and unforeseeably. The loss must have a material effect on the insured item and necessitate either repair or replacement. The vast majority of electronic equipment insurance claims are based on losses due to the following causes: Fire, lightning, explosion, crashing aircraft, Smoke, corrosive gases, Water and moisture, Defective air-conditioning, Short-circuits and other electrical causes, Operating errors, clumsiness, negligence, Malicious acts, burglary and theft, willful intent of third parties, Hail, frost, storm, Subsidence, landslide, rockslide, avalanche

Contractors Plant and Machinery:

Contractors’ Plant and Machinery (C.P.M) :
C.P.M Covers Sudden and Unforeseen Loss or Damage occurring to Contractors Plant and Machinery whatever its type like Cranes, Lifting Equipment, Road Construction Machinery, Bridge Building Machinery, etc
The Cover provided on an Annual basis and extended to cover the Plant and Machinery while it works, during rest or maintenance or during transit from & to construction sites
Normally the Insurers are Liable for any Loss or Damage due to the following causes:
1. Fire, Theft, Burglary
2. Faulty Operation
3. Flood, Inundation, Windstorm
4. Earthquake, Landslide and Volcanism
5. Impact
The Coverage can be extended to include such as:
1. Strike, Riot and Civil Commotion
2. Inland transit
Underground machinery

Erection All Risks:

Erection All Risks (E.A.R) :
E.A.R Policy is a similar to C.A.R as it provides Comprehensive Protection including Legal Liability arising out of Property Damage or Bodily Injury suffered by Third Parties and occurring in connection with the Erection Works
E.A.R Covers Sudden and Unforeseen Loss or Damage during the Execution & Testing Period to Erection Works of Machinery, Plant and Steel Structures such as Turbines, Generators, Steam boilers, Compressors, Engines, Transformers as well as Industrial Plants such as Power Stations, Chemical Plants, Paper and Textile Factories
Normally the Insurers Liable for Loss or Damage due to the following causes:
• Fire, Explosion
• Theft, Burglary
• Flood, Inundation, Windstorm
• Earthquake, Landslide and Volcanism
• Erection Faults
• Removal of debris from the site in the event of a loss indemnifiable under the policy The Coverage can be extended to include such as:
